CSA $10 Portrait at left is of Robert M.T.Hunter,Confederate Secretary of State in 1861."Hope"with an anchor is in the center.
CSA $50 Bears a handsome portrait of Jefferson Davis,President of the Confederate States of America.
CSA $1000 The only $1000 Confederate Note,and the highest denomination. Only 607 were issued from the first Capital in Montgomery,Alabama.On the right is President Andrew Jackson - the same portrait that is on our U.S. $20 bill today.
CSA $1 Because of the excessive inflation,a $1 note such as this was worth only about 2 cents.
CSA $5 The state capital at Richmond,Virginia is pictured in the center.

TENNESSEE 10 cents A "paper dime"issued early in the war.The coin pictured is a Spanish"piece of eight"which circulated widely in the U.S. from the Colonial era through the 1860s.
VIRGINIA 30 cents A most unusual denomination, this note first appeared shortly after Richmond became the permanent capital of the Confederacy.
ALABAMA 25 cents A wagonload of cotton is pictured in the center.
SOUTH CAROLINA 15 cents The drawing is of the "Palmetto tree"state seal.
FLORIDA 25 cents-This "paper coin"was supposed to have the actual signature of Governor John Milton,But it is in fact that of a secretary.
